The last one for #Castle #Neuschwanstein – Once you see the #view of the surrounding area from Castle Neuschwanstein (New Schwanstein) you’ll understand why #King #Ludwig was so keen on building this castle right there – with a view across the #Bavarian Alps, the lake #Alpsee and the old castle of #Hohenschwangau.

Castles in Germany 04 – Neuschwanstein Courtyard
The interior #courtyard of #Castle #Neuschwanstein in #Bavaria, #Germany – built in the style of the old German #medieval castles, #King #Ludwig planned to build a more grandiose place to reside at than his father’s castles throughout Bavaria. His commitment and close involvement during the castle’s building led to this beautiful #landmark in the southern part of Germany.
Castles in Germany 03 – Schloss Neuschwanstein
Next on the list is the famous #castle of #Neuschwanstein, deep in the south of #Germany. This #beautiful castle is said to be the inspiration of the Walt #Disney castle – built in the 19th century by #King Ludwig it was well maintained throughout the last 150+ years and is one of the main #attractions to visit in southern Germany – definitely something you should consider on your bucket list!
Castles in Germany 02 – Burg Eltz
A slightly different angle to the beautiful #castle of #Burg #Eltz. This castle is one of the more popular places to see #medieval architecture in #Germany since it’s still in great shape after 800+ years, and it’s constantly being maintained and renovated by the princely family owning it to this day.
Castles in Germany 01 – Burg Eltz
Over the years I have taken tons of photos of beautiful #castles and #medieval towns all across #Germany that I want to share with you – kicking it off with one of my favorites: #Burg #Eltz. Hidden in the deep #forest of the #Eifel this castle from the 12th century remained unscathed and is still in an amazing condition today. Definitely a must-see that you need to add to your bucket list!
