The #Imperial #Palace in #Kyoto used to be the ruling Palace of #Japan, before moving it to #Tokyo in 1869. Especially its #gardens are beautiful to see and wander around – definitely a recommendation when visiting Kyoto!

The temple is partly covered in pure #gold and is said to house #Buddha’s Ashes – due to its importance it is part of Kyoto’s #World #Heritage Site, a must-see when visiting Japan!
